Disable SMBv1

- Search for and open Windows Power Shell with administrative privileges (right click on Windows Power Shell):

- The Power Shell will open:

- Cut and paste the applicable Windows PowerShell Command (see below):

Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista, and Windows Server 2008:

Set-ItemProperty -Path "HKLM:\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters" SMB1 -Type DWORD -Value 0 -Force


Windows 8 and Server 2012:

Set-SmbServerConfiguration -EnableSMB1Protocol $false


Windows 10:

Disable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName smb1protocol


Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista, and Windows Server 2008:

Set-ItemProperty -Path "HKLM:\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters" SMB1 -Type DWORD -Value 0 -Force
 

- Reboot the PC

- You are Done
